South Lanarkshire

Support that meets young people where they are.

The GIVIT works alongside young people affected by alcohol and drugs — no waiting rooms, no judgement, no time limits. Two services, one team.

Our two services

Not sure which one fits? Submit a referral anyway — our team will match the young person to the right service.

  • At risk of, or experimenting with, alcohol and/or drugs
  • May be involved in street-based or antisocial activity

What happens after a referral

01

We check eligibility

A referral is not automatically accepted. Our team reviews it against the service criteria, usually within three working days.

02

We assess risk together

If the referral is suitable, a worker completes a risk assessment with the young person and it is recorded on their case file.

03

You always hear back

If we cannot accept a referral, we tell the referrer why and, wherever possible, suggest a more suitable service.

Confidential by default

We only share information outside the team where there is a risk of significant harm, and we tell the young person when we do.

Voluntary and young-person led

Young people choose to work with us. Support moves at their pace, in places they feel comfortable.
